I see a circle in this above egg.
I don't know anymore what that means.

Sooo I think I will crack open all eggs for the next few days just to make sure that some are fertile and I will start over and set some next week.Bullseye....it's fertile!![]()
Sounds like a plan.Sooo I think I will crack open all eggs for the next few days just to make sure that some are fertile and I will start over and set some next week.
It sucks huh?@KikisGirls I am in the same boat as you. Pretty sure I set a bunch of eggs that weren’t fertile. Just like yours mine came from hens that had just started laying. I do have 3 that appear to be fertile and they were the last ones hatched before I started the incubator.
It sucks huh?
Only thing we can do is wait and try again.
Have I waited long enough yet?
I want babies!
My quail don't lay until the evening...as soon as the two lay today I am going to open them to triple check that I am getting fertile eggs.
I'm also wondering if I should add lighting now too.
Maybe lights will help the other girls start to lay.
I suck at all waiting games.
I'm going to add a light...I think .. tomorrow morning. I'll turn it on around 4 am and give it a few days to see if it does anything.Mine don’t lay till the evening as well. I have had lighting since they were about 9 weeks old. I have have five females and get 4 eggs a day.
