It’s very tempting some days
No, because they actually waste about half as much food in there as they do in the winter cages, and since I don’t have a barn cat anymore, less food = fewer mice to deal with
If I could get the dang water system working I’d use them year-round, just probably in the chicken coop instead of the barn

More quail butchered today.

Oldies stayed.

Two cages of oldie's 8 week old babies.
Three of the rusty colored ones and five of the other color ones.
I don't know what either color would be called.
The oldie's cage is mixed colors.

The eggs and the incubator are all from the oldies too, so I expect more of the same colors to hatch.

I have a bad habit of forgetting to turn mine off when I’m candling I thought I needed to get new batteries after the last time, but it’s still going

I think I've been using mine more as a flashlight than as a candelier because I just haven't been candling as much lately.
