➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

2 eggs left to hatch.
I made a big mistake this time.
I put a little dish of water in to the incubator. I just woke up to 3 chicks swimming in the water. One dead.
I've never put a dish of water in before. I usually put a wet sponge in a dish. The wet ones plus one that just hatched are still in the Bator with the last 2 eggs. The rest are moved out.

Well, thought I had lost this hatch. George somehow managed to pull the quadplex adapter out from the duplex wall socket. Had 4 Innovators Farms 4250's hooked up to the quad, along with 2 power strips to power the temp controllers and turners.

Anyway, a few happened to survive the 14 hour power outtage. The temp was 84°F inside the bators when power was restored. Also, the humidity I sorta neglected today, it was at 39% and 44% in two of the bators that had eggs hatching today.

Only 1 Amherst pheasant egg hatched! Evidently, pheasant eggs are more susceptible to power outtages than quail eggs. Had 27 Peach, Silver and Yellow Golden eggs and 15 Lady Amherst eggs also set, due date today! Only the 1 hatched. They were all developing but are (DIS) now.
