Not exactly necessary
Over the last couple of years I've modified HatchKeeper to be able to run in most modern browsers both mobile and desktop. I've got a
demo on the website. There is a user that uses that on his iPhone. He just adds a shortcut to his home screen and sets the HatchKeeper icon. There's some limitations such as no notifications, needs internet connection, data is stored in the browser, etc but just make sure you routinely back up the database via settings so you can restore just in case.
If you don't have a good internet connection, it's possible to download the source code and run it in a browser locally without installing.
