Glad to hear the baby is doing well.Thank you! It seems to be out of the woods this morning, the little stump absorbed and dried out pretty quick and healed over completely within about a day with some topical antibiotics. It's running around with the others happily today. Thank goodness! He's probably the cutest little sucker I've hatched, and my only tux baby so far. I'll still monitor for infection for a while but I think he'll make it.
Chick #4 just joined the mix, and three others are sitting pipped fully, tho this batch is frequently taking 24+ hours to do anything more.
Yay!!! I had a male that was too sweet to get the job done and putting his brother in for competition did the trick. They were raised together and didn't ever really fight, just competitive-bred, which worked out for me. I'm glad yours is finally playing along!
