It is pretty cute and man is it a peeper! It’s loud and I’m assuming it’s likely a male due to the small size?

But there are several that look like this guy. Could it look like the Schofield ones?

That's what I thought immediately, some silver-type? But honestly in dim lighting while they're still moist it's super hard to tell, he could still be red-based.

Oh no I’ll be sure to add marbles!

Get the small lipped waterer, it's about a 1/4" wide and 3/8" deep. Suppose to be drown proof but I've had chicks fall to sleep and drown, even in them but not like the regular chick waterers.

Oh, and I'm not sure the size theory holds true at all, but definitely not until about a week old when they've had time to equalize from off-time hatching.

Let's just hope it develops fine now. I doubt want an upside down chick that cannot get to the air sac. What a shame that would be.
