Yes! How'd you guess. What are going to make them into? Blueberry sorbet?
One day I hope to have as many blueberries as you kikiYes! How'd you guess.
I just set 23 eggs.
I couldn't wait one more day.
A few of them were taken out of the fridge.
I labeled them all so I can see what hatches when.
So, how many quail are in your coops? Any?Good idea but I'm done with these quail.
I'm moving on to jumbos next and I'll try things out with the Jumbo's and pearls.
I'm just hatching one last batch of my own to butcher. I don't really care if they are mini ones or not.
Just doing this one for fun.
Does this sound nutty?
Only my original gangstas are left. So, how many quail are in your coops? Any?
I will harvest some soon. Crazy Lady has pronounced that Quail eggs taste better. How many to keep, is the question.
The other thing is... chickens have a life span of maybe 10 years if we (or something else) don’t cull/eat them. That’s not typically long enough to develop silicosis in humans and probably not long enough for chickens, either. You could definitely burn your lungs in much less time. I myself would NOT want to breathe unwashed ash (or any non-caustic silica powder, either, for that matter). But I have a much longer life expectancy (even at 60 this year) than a chicken.Mix the ash with sand and dirt. I would try to not have more than 25% ash. That said, my chickens have dust bathed in our fire pit full of ash before and were fine. It was a once time thing though.
That looks like a girl to me
