➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

Could I perchance brood the chicks with the chicks? It would so much easier.

I was thinking wait 4 days, candle the chicken eggs and then, like @muddy75 suggested, time the hatches to pop at the same time. Wouldn't that be delicious? Like Gulliver among the Giants.
i’m currently brooding together. have lost 1 quail out of each batch but probably would have lost one regardless of chicken in the mix. it’s a little easier with the 4 bantam size in the easter batch but poor Hodor thinks he’s a giant quail because he’s a loner chick.

I would like to reiterate that y'all are evil. Supportive. And all around good chums. :love

After candling at day 4, we top off the incubator! The people rejoiced and there was much happiness in the land. :wee
I lied.
You can fit 8 eggs in those two spots.
I just tried it in my bator.

Are you using paper cups? Or just balancing the small ones in the plastic tray? Any origami involved? What level tetris do you regularly get to? Can you balance a 5th one on top of the 4 in the cup? What is your record? Is duck tape involved and should it be renamed quail tape?

Pictures! I need to see this.

Baby Girl (my buff silkie) went co-broody with Splash today!! only have 2 remaining eggs on day 12 so I gave them 1 each. still trying to figure out how I’m going to give them babies for Mother’s day.....probably going to let them sit until these quail are a few days old and put some of them under the mommas if neither of the eggs hatch. or I’ll have to talk the RK mgr into letting me buy less than minimum six to give them!!

Just cram them in.
