I'm am slightly obsessed with hatching on the 10th of the month right now since my last few hatches happened on the 10th.I would love to but it would mess up my schedule. I have a hatching due on the 23rd. I put my eggs in the incubator only on Saturday. They hatch on a Tuesday so my rotation is when they hatch, my quail on the brooder are three weeks and are ready to go into cages. I will be watching though.
Gqf sells Bobwhite eggs. I don't know about northern http://www.gqfmfg.com/eggs/7060-60-bobwhite-quail-eggs/My Husband wants to raise Northern Bobwhites so I sold all of my grown Chickens and Turkeys. He has been searching all over for hatching eggs with no luck yet.
I think a lot of people over heat their chicks. I am not a fan of keeping things on the hot side.I bought 30 Bob white eggs from GQF in a brooder package. I had a very good hatch rate.It was about 25 of 30.
Being my first time with Bob whites I thought the heater in the brooder set at 95 would be ok.
Not! I lost all but ten I believe before I figured out that I had to use a more consistent heat on those little buggers. I have 80 Bob whites now![]()
I have these plus the 4 in the fridge so far.
Come on quailies...pump out some more eggs!

Weeks. My older quail started laying finally. Had four eggs last night. Hopefully they keep it up and I can set some when you do!
How long can eggs sit at room temp before you put the in the bator?
