➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

Quail getting into position to break out of the egg
I set 17 but it looks like 12 are going to be making it to lockdown, which is perfect. I had ordered 12 but the seller sent extras in case of damage in shipping and such. It's funny how it worked out that exactly 12 of them did develop.
I'm so excited!
Great!
I am excited for you!

I think I am going to go ahead and plug my bator in tomorrow.
I don't think I can take the wait much longer.

I now have collected 10 fresh eggs plus the 4 I have in my fridge.
Yeah...I'm forgetting about the specific hatch date I wanted at the beginning of this.

Bator is getting turned on in the morning.
:woot

Good. I'm curious to see how this comes out and wishing you the best of luck on this hatch.

I had the worst luck hatching in my LG until I learned how to use it and did a couple of mods. My hatch last week was 84%. :ya

So when it comes to hatching quail, what does everyone consider a “successful” hatch rate?
Shipped eggs?
Fresh eggs?

I'll be satisfied when I get to 100%.

Quail eggs are pretty easy under the right conditions. You are going to have quitters and eggs not fertile. I guess I'd be happy between 80-90%.
