➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

Is it to the back of the head? If yes, that's normal if the hen is trying to get away from the male when he's holding her head feathers and trying to mount. If it's at the front of the head, not sure if that is just bullying or still caused by the male.
It's right on the top of the head.
I'm going to spend a good amount of time watching them tomorrow. I need to see what is happening. I'm not dealing with hurt quailies. :old
They seemed completely fine and all calm today when I watched.

It's probably from the male. Watching them will definitely show you whosw doing it though. Maybe add some more hiding spots so they can get away?

Not necessarily a male, I've seen females become very violent. Had them get along fine for years, then overnight they change, no rhyme or reason for the change.

I'm new here, but I set eggs Oct 27th so I'm jumping in to spam with baby pics!

And I have a poor little penguin with an exposed navel who's hanging out in tiny baby jail for a while while it (hopefully) heals up. 3/23 hatched, with two mid-process.
