➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

They are...not smart. Maybe pen them in a smaller area with something and take it out when they can be trusted with the cold? As long as they can get *close* to room temp at the outsides of that area.

Do not worry about the curled feet at all unless it's been 24 hours at least, many of my babies have taken about that long and none have ever had any issue with their feet.

You can always use a moist cotton ball to loosen the eggshell, but they'll probably start cleaning themselves (and pecking each other) enough to loosen it soon.

Home Depot clippy lamp. Ten bucks.
The case thing doesn't get hot like metal ones.
Regular light bulb.

I got a small stroke of luck on this batch. they shipped 2-day yesterday so no freezing temp until tonight thru arrival tomorrow. :fl:fl not enough time to lose any to freezing! I asked farm about option of heat pack but he said actually have seen better hatch rate when no heat added in shipping. i will let u know if any arrive frozen.
I did lose 2 of my eating eggs this past week to freezing!
I’ve been just absolutely sick all day! I had my son on standby to get home and get my eggs off the porch within 10 minutes of delivery and the postman took it upon himself to not leave them today saying no secure place for delivery!! (when this is like 3rd time I’ve had eggs delivered to my house) wouldn’t redeliver today nor allow me to pick up before closing so now it will be tomorrow!! Hopefully the dumbass won’t leave them out in the cold all night!!!
