A couple of these are giant. Most are 13 grams, but there's a few that are 20 grams. Not sure if they are double yolkers, we shall see.

LOL.Are you talking about raising bees or rabbits?
I'm thinking rabbits too.LOL.
Yes, but i didn't mean to post it here. I wrote a post in the Illinois forum where I chat a lot with locals. Part of it somehow ended up here when I quoted Sara L's post. I edited it out hoping nobody saw that. However, feel free to make a suggestion and offer up a source to order either from. I can only do bees or rabbits this Spring. I'm not looking to tackle both projects at once.
I have a feeling that may be your selfish desire to see baby rabbit pics.I'm thinking rabbits too.
Umm, well I have been gathering eggs since the 1st because I had two orders for hatching eggs, and ended up with a lot of extras. And I needed to check fertility on several groups whose eggs I haven't hatched in a while. There's actually 8 groups of eggs in here... totalling 100 eggs@Sara L How many is there?
I'm waiting for my rabbit to kindle, it's our first litter. She's due any day now. There will be lots of pictures.I have a feeling that may be your selfish desire to see baby rabbit pics.

I am leaning more towards rabbits now. I would let me son make pets of the first breeding stock, ideally two does and one buck. We would keep them alive into their retirement. Their offspring would be raised for meat. I'd have to add more breeding stock later to maintain a healthy gene pool. The trouble I am having is sourcing rabbits. Shipping them is not as easy as chicks or eggs and there's not a rabbitry near by.Thank you. For a minute there I thought I had lost it.
I don't know about bees. I would think they would cost more to get started. However they have their benifits. Not only honey but lots of things can be made from the honey and wax. Helps with allergies also.
Rabbits are fairly easy. I have had rabbits for years and will keep them as long as I can. Are you thinking pets or meat?
