I’m the “other” vote in the poll. I only cull when significant hatch deformity. otherwise i make them as comfortable as possible and let nature do its thing. It’s a quality of life decision that is difficult to make. but with the losses i’ve had post-hatch runts and otherwise healthy chicks, I definitely don’t want to add to it.I had an obvious runt my very first hatch, I let it live.

If they are from a good line, I'm told they should get to 5 pounds by 8 weeks old, which is butcher weight. I plan to weigh at 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 weeks to track their growth. I was told not to let them go past 12 weeks or they aren't as tender and you have to cook them different.
For a second, i though these were bunnies too...
