Lol. I make it up as I go.Y'all are very handy.
I'm still confused.
You mean they sell a cheese dip for nachos?
It's even better, it's a tray with a little compartment for nacho cheese and a bunch of chips. You replace the top foil with a paper towel, microwave it for 33 seconds exactly (no less or will be cold, no more or WILL explode), and then you have a 2-minute snack from heaven.
I use hardwood Aspen chips, small not large. Has an earthy smell, not like pine.Remind me again what we are all using as quail living quarters flooring covering..
I use sawdust (once they are out of brooder), I change it weekly-as they are out on ground during the day. I like sawdust because it's cheap enough, easy to buy big blocks of, and it's awesome to add to the compost pile.
Anyway, as the quail population increases, the sawdust is irritating my arms and giving me itchy rashes. Not sure what else to use that is 'semi environmentally friendly' ? I wish I could use puppy pads, but they are not compostable.
I'm considering using old towels (wash them weekly), or maybe cover towels with paper towel -that would be super easy to change, just swap a layer out each day.
I've seen rice hulls in enormous bags. Expensive I think, but apparently insect resistant.
If you take a picture....it's already 'framed'!I call the top one my nice cage.
The bottom one was my first build.
The top one is my second build.
My third build will be better.
I've almost figured out how to build.
