➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

She is a she right? Her chest is very red compared to her sister's.
I just separated the last 6 babies into two equal groups.
One male and two females.

I also had to squeeze a poster board in between the two cages because one male walked going ape sheet.

Little one didn't make it :( Count is still 16 @Texas Kiki ! Is there a way for me to update it myself? I tagged you a while back but I think you got tagged in another post at the exact same moment so I can see why you'd have missed it.

Mine all start laying at 6-7 weeks  But A. keeping them indoors is definitely cheating and B. they only start getting weaned off the 30% protein about then so they grow like little weeds.
I'm going to make time tonight to fix my poll disaster stuff.

No stress! Just didn't want it to get lost. Thank you for your poll duties. :bow

Can you believe that quail (named Honey today) is still alive? She seems to be healing. Still eating and drinking without an issue. We were holding her throughout the days to be sure she had upright time, and I was able to assess her strength and ability. Today I saw her upright often (and moved her to the sun porch). I’m hoping another week will see her markedly better.

Is she sitting up by herself?
