I read something similar on a chicken thread. I wish I could remember how to find it. The suggestion was to aspirate the air with a syringe, but you had to be careful where to poke it (obviously). I did not understand how to find the spot, though. The bird’s owner elected to wait and in that case the gas disbursed on its own.

no........not to divulge my age or anything but that was way before Ron White gained notoriety .....but I was named for Tanya Tucker (it was either that or Tammy or Loretta)

Don't know about a dog being named after Ron White but my brother call's his son Tater!

Hummmm. We used to have to do this regularly with a seahorse that would suck in air and go upside-down. I do not know how to do it on a bird.

The air bladder on a fish is totally different from a chickens air sac's.
