Anyone who is not a fan of cats has either never had a good cat or is allergic.

I can see how being allergic would put you off cats!

But no way this cutie is becoming snake food ever.

I just went down and closed the slit in the chickens’ door & passed out treats. Oh well... the low tonight is supposed to be 28, so I guess it could be worse. No tornadoes, anyway.

This is understandable. They are mostly weird.

i used to love and adopt all the kittens i could get my hands on.....mostly just 1 or so at a time lol (was not a crazy cat lady). but then i had 2 out of 3 kiddos that had to have surgery at ages 4 and 5 due to cat scratch fever.....no fun and very expensive!!! so now i’m no longer a fan of cats/kittens whether mine or someone else’s (as it is rare to get cat scratch fever from your own cat/kitten).

I really want to start over and build a walk in quail cage.

no reason to start over.....just build one and keep your currents as grow out or breeding pens!!

yes but now wild hogs are having to be bred to feed the hunting craze....not nearly the wild population as several years ago!! (traps are too efficient now). and so few property owners allow hunting....it’s left to a few commercial that charge an arm/leg to hunt what they’ve trapped or bred! and let’s not mention the idiots they allow to run around with 308 blackouts (30+ rounds) shooting anything that moves!! (i’ve done a few hog hunts both private property/commercial). i’ve been charged by a wild boar and i’ve stalked a particular(bred) wild hog for over 12 hours to find out that its hide was over 3 in thick!! (why my broadheads bounced off)

I have cousins as neighbors. They don’t believe in the dangers of cat poo, and cat scratches and bites. They were forced to go from >40 cats to 8 altered, but kittens occasionally pop up. Duckling gets a lot of first aid here.

Thats my fear. I was raised with a feral cat colony and not gonna do that again. I didnt comment on the kittens all day cuz im a "too each his own" kinda gal. Its not something i would do but i kno how the shelters are overburdened and i dont have to watch it so whatever. All that said i Do Love my two cats. Theyre both altered. They live outside away from my 4 children 3 who are toddlers. One brings me Rabbits and both of them are excellent mousers who require regular worming.
