I have visions of a 6’ x 12’ pen being built this week. The vision continues to a rock garden and/or some gnomes. Flower gardens don’t work because cats see them as a litter box. However, I have a vision of hanging planters.

My visions become nightmares, but that’s another story.

Cactus gardens work extremely well as 'anti-cat' boxes!

Probably! It’s pretty easy I think. And there are tons of ideas online. Could use the metal like Honan or line it with hardware cloth, even if it’s just for the bottom few feet. Or even a wood framed bottom and the panels attached to the wood and then also HC or something else. If you get the like 6 or 12 inch boards that’s pretty good protection there too. And/or also hardware cloth skirt possibly. Which might work better if it’s a more permanent thing but is probably possible for movable ones too. There’s lots of ways. Just like regular coops. In fact most are probably the same.

We're working on our coop now, but it's not a hoop coop.
We did predator proof the greenhouse/bunny abode (hoop house), though, by digging in a hardware cloth all around the base. I've raised chickens in it in the winter and didn't suffer any predator losses.

I think it should be relatively easy! Maybe build a big wood frame to the height you want then attach the panels? Or even just HC and no panels? You could probably get smaller size panels too if you made the wood go high up

I want to do a hoop coop but I’ve worked it out and it’s not that much cheaper for the size I’d want.

I thought everyone could change it once? Maybe it’s without a PFM you can change it once ever and with one it’s yearly? Or maybe I am confused and you can’t change it unless you have a PFM lol
