I think he is a special quail.
His sibling is perfect, him not so much.
The poor think hatched really small, especially for a jumbo quail but I had 99 problems with this hatch so I can't blame anything in particular.
He doesn't want to eat/drink for anything.
He constantly flips over and some times gets stuck so I have to constantly help him. At least he has more energy this evening. This morning he didn't want to move much at all. I've been constantly trying to get something in his mouth.
I don't know yet if I am going to wake every hour or two to force him to eat a crumb or not.
I feel bad for him and can't just leave him hanging.
He's been getting drops all day.Awww poor guy!! Sounds awful.maybe some nutridrench would help perk him up???
He's been getting drops all day.
What doesn't land on his head.
He is constantly picking at his legs. At first I thought he was trying for his butt but it's his legs.
He doesn't walk right so I'm wondering now if his legs are hurting.

i completely understand! i’m constantly checking behind the heat pad edge and this last batch I had on burrow under heat pad and puppy pad underneath....no way i would have found him without emptying the brooder to clean!!Are you pressing my buttons? Eh?
I've got paper towels and paper on the bottom of the plastic brooder. Had a weird feeling and grabbed a flashlight for a corner check. Saw legs sticking out from the paper. This one went spelunking and got cold. Into the incubator to warm up. All the rest running amok.
Well, that means we do a count and clean the brooder. All present and still alive.
After last time, I'm a bit concerned.
Flipper isn't getting better.
Hims trying real hard though.
He will NOT eat.View attachment 1818132 View attachment 1818133 View attachment 1818134 View attachment 1818135
