Pulled 42 chicks out of the incubator this morning. It's official hatch day and there are a bunch more zipping.

I swear I'm not terrible at counting, just...observing. I forgot some rows had 7 instead of 8!

Still, that's a lot of extras, I think we'll get plenty.

Hatch update......6 more popped this morning with and without help and then I got a bit overzealous and assisted 2 that I thought I had shrink wrapped.....not looking too good for them atm. Still a couple more pipped?????

@007Sean....this is “Daisy” hubby has her “trained” to come for treats! Others congregate up here too especially at morning feeding time when they hear me open back door, but she is most regular!!!!! They are starting to get some adult color so we’re better able to tell which are which. Looking like more female pheasant and more male partridge so far to me

Ok for the quail ppl that are also good with chickens.....Hodor is now 3 months and completely dumbfounds me!!!! One day I say boy and next girl (of course I think girl days are just wishful thinking!) any ideas???? EExBO since a quicken and never around real chickens.....I’m not sure if will crow?????

Thanks @BantyChooks..and @ketojenn ...what I was afraid of!!!! Not sporting full on sickle etc but was early Hatcher...HUGE and basically sole chicken among quail.....want to rehome vs butchering but will probably try to keep until he finds his crow and becomes too annoying.....in process of cleaning “chicken” area for the remaining 6. Hodor and the “wonder twins” have started roosting on my food cover at night so at least the are starting to act somewhat like chickens!
