Quail getting into position to break out of the egg
This rusty-topped one in the middle is one of my favourites. Any idea how it'll turn out colour-wise?
Paddles is the farthest bird left in the feed bowl, by the way.

That thing looks almost like my wyandotte chicks :drool its like blue laced red  remember tho i had to ask mr Sean how he thought mine would turn out. Im not very farmiliar with the button color variations either. Hopefully he will chime in.

I can say i think these two circled in pink look like the wild type hens and this one circled in blue(thats Paddles?) May be the wild type cockrel.

No ma'am. The red breasted blue color is the wild type for males and a brown and black barred pattern for hens. Yes ma'am Ms Sara, stripes as babies, thats like cots and a white collar when adults on the blue boys but there are lots of colors and they wont all fit this jus the wild type will be sex colored.

Here the blue boy i have in my breeding pair. When i first got him and about two wks later. He had it rough and was picked clean on his back but see the white that had to be molted out? Theyre pretty different.

Here are the tykes i had hatched as Mr Sean sexed them top pic as new hatch bottom as 1 wk olds.

After 3 double yolkers, wondering where it came from. It came from the B-team. The back up breeders. Looks like another one today. 19.51 grams. Along with a soft shelled one. Yes, calcium available free choice.

The Breeders were supposed to be the largest and healthiest set. They are giving smaller eggs today. And only 4 out of 5 are laying. First week, so let's see where this goes.

13 grams for the jumbos and a little under 13 grams for QB#3.

From left, B-team - Breeders - and the white pair from QB#3
