Yes, it's a glorious 30 seconds. After that... not so much.
All I can think of is how fast the evidence of that work vanishes. No matter how perfect I get either thing, I have to do it again that same day.

It's the same reason that I dislike puzzles.
I like cleaning my own spaces, such as the chicken coop. It's just frustrating when small cyclones undo everything in a half hour with no recognition that you just spent three precious hours out of your life making everything tidy and in order. Chickens at least don't dump garbage everywhereāand look moderately interested in your work when the coop gets cleaned! I suppose cooking would be more fun if I cared more about it. To me, food's just what keeps you alive long enough to do other stuff.
I can roll with steady downward slopes in things that I do. That's expected. It's just annoying when it looks more like a graph of nuclear half-life with no return on effort.
