Well, if you wanna trade working in the yard or helping with the house you could bring them over here and I can help. We are in overtime right now trying to beautify the house so we can get it on the market. I have a silkie rooster that needs to go. I think he's going to end up with a pass for the next 2 weeks though.

Don’t you have a place for them? I think if you can house them separately that will likely solve your immediate issue, then you can let them grow out and have your processing party.

I'm actually pretty decent about chopping their heads off once I get started. Sometimes I chicken out for a little bit though.

An update on the egg projects i found some frames for sale on CL last night amd messaged the guy today, theyre Huge! (3) 31"x31" (1) 2'x1' (1) 14"x14"
All 5 for 20$

Tryn to go get them on sunday

Okay went thru my most recent pics to crop some of the lav mans. Doesnt show much of the purple hue but you can see its there on my breeding hen. Thatsnot a trick of the light shes got a purplish look. Im not over the top for this color. I supose if you knew there were no other yellow color chicks in a hatch theyd be feather sexing at hatch but idk. Not scratching the project just not my ffavorites. Im kicking myself that i didnt come up with a way to keep a red male. Thats a color i just

Theres a pearl hen behind him u can see she has alot more black spots and i have another pearl here as an example of the difference

I have 2 more lav man hens who are handicapped in with the pansy roo. Hes always had his flock on the ground, his hens, i didnt wanna disturb that cuz i wants his spermies. After these sets ima have to shake em up again and ill be adding at least 4 new young hens wild type to the total pop. Theres a group of 6 silvers still to be determined.

Lastly this thing i still donthave a good name for. She has no red, brown or black only white and light blue grey.

That is my favorite.

@Texas Kiki......august hatch final # is 40 coturnix and 4 buttons......because this homegrown hatch can run as long as Friday, I’m going to count it in September totals

@mixedUPturk Those are beautiful! I really like the blue speckle (That's what I'm going to call her, at least). I'm thinking I'd like to add some pearl fee to my flock, but I'd love to get some of those pretty colors you have. Did you breed those yourself?

Thank you! Im breeding them now but i got all of my birds direct from JMF in a 100 egg special collection box. The lav man eggs are spoken for until Tuesday but then theyre open Im working on adding more pens and hens to make pure breeding programs but i didnt have enough of any one color to do it from jump, So all i have are a ton of mixed color pens with a few who will breed true like a pair in each. I am building on that few by hatching from each pen twice to make pens with enough hens to keep happy roos who breed true to each certain color.
