➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

So I guess I actually will be covering the tubes on my DIY feeder... I found a quail in each tube when we just came home from picking up feed. :rantthe fed got low so they thought they could just jump down tge tubes to get the bit of feed that was left. Of course the dummies are too big at 7 weeks old now to actually get their heads down to eat while crammed in a 4" diameter tube. Thank goodness I came in through the garage (so I walked past the new cage) or they would have been stuck until the morning.

:barnie thank goodness u saw them! I would rubber band some saran wrap or tin foil over it til u can get the permanent fix in place.

He was fussing right now. Standing up tall yelling at me to get my phone away from him.

I like him and the darkest one the most. I already forgot about the yellers.
:lau The drawback to that however is the more they stand up and fuss like that, the higher probability they will be boys!!!

Well the tubes are full again right now, so they cannot get stuck at just. I think we are going to rubberband some scraps of window screen over the tubes. That week likely be the "permanent fix." I don't want to add more cost to the project. 4" PVC parts are not cheap. I had the pipe on hand in our basement, but not caps.
