SHIZZLE STICKS!
I think I am going to be sick.
@mill-j
Yesterday when I put a fake batch into my Hatchkeeper app to calculate something for M & M @Maiahr @Matieus27 I deleted that "batch" after I took the screen shot only it looks like I didn't just delete that batch but I deleted ALL of my batches.

Mill please tell me there is a way to recover my batches. :barnie

Oh no! That’s awful!

What brand name of meat bird feed have you been buying?

Oh no! That’s awful!
I have hand written notes so I can redo everything but...I have to find all of the places I have taken notes and go through them. It won't kill me but it might.

If you can get 20% protein Purina Flock Raiser, it will be better for your quail than Meat Bird feed. The problem with the meat bird feed is that while the protein levels are high enough, it does not have the higher levels of lysine, methionine and other nutrients that quail need. They use lower levels because it is a chicken feed and chickens don't need those higher levels.

The study that I looked up before pointed out that 20% protein is all that adult quail need as long as their other requirements such as lysine and methionine are being met. The Purina Flock Raiser does contain the higher levels of lysine and methionine that adult quail need.
that make sense!! i have looked at the levels and they are ok but not great in the meatbird....i will check for flock raiser though.....
