I've been subscribed to this thread for a while but I don't know how you guys keep up with everything

My last quail batch of the year hatched a day or two ago. It's hard to keep from poking more in...

Starting in January I am going to try to keep track of everyone's hatch stats in your app instead of my Goode sheet. I can not wait.

oh my update for the day!!! so DH and I started panicking again and we broke down and called dnr. They are allowing me to apply for my game breeders permit for my birds even though I am past the time frame. (5 days). I just had to get a receipt reprinted from RK for purchase.

Do you mean losing hatched chicks?

No I mean like eggs that you set 30% infertile or fail to develop?

Yeah we have broiler chickens but the wife says I have enough chickens and since quail are smaller and I can start butchering when they are around 6 to 8 weeks the wife is more accepting of them and it allows me to be able to hatch more when needed “I’m a hatchaholic” this way when I want to hatch I don’t have to wait and I don’t have to spend money on eggs

That makes perfect sense!! Seems I need to get quail myself then! For those same reasons! I can hatch as much as I want!

Cause I don’t think I have roosters lol

You don’t have to keep up! Just pop in!

And hatch more! Hatch more!!

It's ok to skip a few posts, don't worry no one will know.

Don't forget to backup! And you might want to use the desktop version for large amounts(up to 499) of batches. Hopfully I'll find time to finish the next release before then.

70% fertility is what is guaranteed by purely poultry....many private sellers give no guarantees...zack @ myshire will guarantee a 60% hatch rate which is why I inquired as to whether you labeled your eggs by source. But since the eggs from him are sex-link, you should be able to get accurate number at hatch.
