I think it's a roux too! Definitely a hen. But if you have any dudes pop up they're super handy for sex-link crosses.
i had a male but when we took out last batch, i can’t remember if i kept or let him go:barniethis one looks possible female but only about 2 weeks so could fool me!

Both of my senior breeding males carry it (I have figured out) so they keep popping up *everywhere* in my stock. Not that I mind!

I am trying to breed a homozygous charcoal homozygous roux line, for crossing onto jumbos. The females in that part of my program are the biggest and most consistent egg layers, too. Some are getting crossed back to dad this go round, some to a son. I am pretty excited to see what I get next gen.

if my girls start laying consistently again, once i get this batch out of the grow-out cage, i may play around with a breeding group and try incubating a sex-link batch or a custom color batch before the end of the year??? i really want to replicate the falb fee tux again!
