Forget the head she had a red eye.
It's creeping me out.
What wrong with her?

There is nothing wrong with her. She was just trying to make you think you got red eye from using a flash. I can easily fix that in post processing and you would never know she had a red eye.

I just took a million pictures to try and capture it on film.

i noticed the red eye but i too thought that was just “flash” in the pic....what concerned me was that each pic, the “lump/bump” on the back of her head was bigger!!

No flash used.
Something isn't right.
I've never noticed the eye red before so it may have always been like that or it has just turned like that.

I think her feathers are just coming in silly.

i lost another hen today “suddenly” it was an “italian” hubby processed and it looked to be a prolapsed vent....??? not sure if it was related to possible “eggbound”, overbreeding, or just the heat. she died in a fresh “dust bathing” hole near the waterer with others dustbathing around her.

So, I candled today. I set last Friday night, so today is day 7.

3 had movement.
14 were clear, including all 3 of the eggs from my girl and 3 of the celadons.
16 were dark like the one above. I don't know if those are good or not.
1 I'm really not sure about. It wasn't dark or clear, but I didn't see movement either

The one celadon that wasn't clear was the one that I think may have had a crack. What do you think?
