➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

I'll take note of this. I had a dog kennel, but I was thinking that they would get out. I'm trying to find wire fencing to use I want my cages to be able to go on the ground then we can lift them and put them on stands when it's winter.
I wrap everything in half inch hardware cloth.
They would easily get out of a dog that killed without it being wrapped.

I even wrapped my rabbit cages with the hardware cloth.

I've gotta question...
I don't have a single container that will accommodate 19 growing quail. That's why I split/separated them up, plus I thought it might be better for the little ones. What do y'all suggest under those circumstances? Should I connect the containers to form a sort of complex that is joined so they can walk from container to container?
If you have the room and can afford to buy some more totes I'd separate them further. It's alot more work and expense but the chances of losing them is greatly diminished.
They can then be integrated later into the group you want to keep and the rest sold, given away, or go to freezer camp!

to try and block some of the door opening for when I open it.

I don't understand the color terms yet myself.

I'm just learning.
I should have it down pat within this next year.
When people talk about quail colors all I hear is blah blah blah :idunnoI am hopefully going to learn it. I just want to hatch, breed, and process. When I get mine I'm sure when they hatch everyone can tell me what they are. I was looking at Myshire Farm, they have assorted Coturnix Quail you can get for fertile eggs.
