➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

I got some sleep. Mandatory evacuation areas are within 20 miles of me now. My car is packed. I have two bags with stuff I still need in the house, but everything else is in the car. Hopefully I won't be heading out, but who knows? :fl

Edit: I've been up since a little after 3, though.
:hugs

The only one making noise at my house is the first one I caged by himself. The broken eye one.

The big giant dark boy shut up as soon as I out him in with the girls. He hasn't made a sound.
My boys can be found hanging out together and quiet during the day but in morning and evening they are all spread out and crowing.....on butcher days it gets really quiet after the first couple loudmouths disappear!!!!

How many eggs you have space to incubate now?? The Golden batch may end up being best deal of the Day especially with combining shipping

The new Incubator will hold 70, the old one only 30, so I only have room for 40 more eggs. Unless I stick them under one of my broody bantams that's trying to sit outside.

My new one will hold 120. I better not ever fill that.

Maybe I can rent space in the incubator...

I had good luck with broody incubation in the spring but definitely recommend moving to incubator for hatching....
