The Ebay one is one of them that I have, but through Amazon. I had to use 2 springy things for that big bottle, or just a piece of wire.

Which one of the above do you like the best?

The red one with the no peck bobber thingy. It has to go into the side of a jug, canister, or bucket. Here is the blue one I use for chickens.

I don't think I like the cup thingies...I want easy to clean and that thing that they have to peck looks like it will take me longer to clean.

I'm liking the idea of the other ones because they look like I could clean them easier.
AND I like that I have put a bottle on the outside of the cage.
I think I am going to try them.

Don't do as I do this first time. Well don't candle as much as I do. I recommend leaving the eggs a lone as much as possible.
Wait until your second hatch to mess with the eggs as much as I do.

Okay, I will try to avoid touching them. Though I really don’t know if I can only candle 3 or 4 times the entire hatch

I think you’ve gotten lost on every one lately. That’s what happens when you miss even a second on some of the chattiest threads ever

Largely so because of me

Starting in January I will be keeping track of
# of set eggs
# fertile eggs
# quitters
# Hatched eggs
assists and early deaths after hatch.

Maybe I should keep track of all this stuff for my hatch too! I may weigh them too.

Best is 1st thing in the morning, so you can stare at the hygrometer & thermometer all day!!!



I'm doing things differently this time too, since I've gotten additional thermometers & hygrometers in there with the eggs. We'll see if the hatch is better than last time.



I'm several pages behind myself, not sure if catching up is even a realistic expectation at this point!!!
Btw....you should see how excited my quailies were in their new homes today!!!!

I ordered like 4 today cause I couldn’t decide on one

Also ordered a pretty expensive pond filter today.

Was it here that Kiki was saying she wanted to approve all my purchases first? Welp, she’s gonna kill me

And I love those cages!! OMG!!

Girl!!! There are 2 dirt boxes and a sandbox in each pen!!! They need to snuggle I guess

I have two dirt boxes in my coop too. I keep barely missing the picture with five birds all trying to bathe in the smallest one at the same time.

I don’t have any input but I just wanna say.... I didn’t know Gun Dog Supply has quail supplies! Although I guess it makes sense since people use gamebirds for hunting. But still. Looks like they only have a few things but that’s cool. I’ve ordered leashes from them before a couple times. Kinda random but yeah.

I just set 68 eggs. The eggs from the SSC collection are big. Some of them are downright huge. I hope they don't stop the rails from turning due to their size. I tried to put all of the biggest ones on the outside so they won't touch anything, but there were more oversized eggs than there are outside spots in the turning rails.
