I thought you wanted to see what a pearl chick looks like. Here are the pictures of the one pearl that I hatched in early October. I should go take a newer picture of her. Probably tomorrow.

make sure that you ran out vs water wicking out (leading to drowning).....very odd to lose itty bittys to not enough water

No, I ran out. I wasn't filling the waterers up, I was just adding a little at a time. I got caught up outside for too long, it made me sick when I saw the itty bitties that didn't make it!

No, I ran out. I wasn't filling the waterers up, I was just adding a little at a time. I got caught up outside for too long, it made me sick when I saw the itty bitties that didn't make it!

I had a mishap today too. I got home from work and the waterer in my main pen was knocked over and I had one bird dead from violence. I sure hope she wasn't the one hen I had that was laying.

These little rascals were in my Sexlink & Feather Sexable hatch. Have you seen others like these pop up in your hatchlings? Can I assume the white one with the red mohawk stripe is an Egyptian? I actually think that one's coloring is incredible!

it wont let me copy to pic to edit/label but basically I see a couple of egyptian, several pharaoh and your oddball “yellers” look to be 3 whites and 1 dotted white. not sure about the little poking it’s head out from under the pharoah

I think there may be one or two in my littles! They're so pretty at every stage of feathering.

I'm not good enough to have any idea what the chicks will look like after they get their feathers. I think I'm going to create a separate thread for my SSC chicks. There's supposed to be a lot of variety in that collection, so it will be really neat seeing how they feather out as they grow.

That's terrible! Why are they so mean? I had 2 boys scalped by another boy in the same pen in 2 days! I mean, COME ON ALREADY!!!

One brooder is pretty much all Egyptians & Pharaohs.... the other has Pansies & Friends. (Time to remove the poop again)

My mother is too! You can still get around in the house, but when you have every square inch of the walls covered with certain items, that's called hoarding, right?
