It happens. It looks like it is attached by a dried up umbilicus. You can interfere and snip it off or just let it be and it will eventually break free on its own.Is this normal? The third chick looks like it's still attached to the egg by yolk and blood vessels.

If it's not that uncommon, I'm sure it will be fine without my interference. If it's still stuck in a couple of hours I might interfere, but until then, I'll leave it alone.It happens. There are quite a few with pips in them now. Now I'm looking for zippers.
