➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

with all the missed messages, I almost forgot my update!!! today was warmer and the pinkies are almost 3 days old, so I was able to check closer and there are 6!!!! according to most of the reading i’ve done, that is a big litter......I’m visiting overnight tomorrow with my dad, so i plan to ask my sis more questions about their avg litter size etc. sooo much still to learn.......will try to get more pics for you guys when i get home Saturday or Sunday when the rain stops!
For mine, 7 was highest number of kits. I've only had 7 litters total though.
Rabbit 1: 7, 7, 7
Rabbit 2: 6, 6
Rabbit 3: 5, 6

Thanks and I’m sorry about the huge giant massive novel and all the other ones today.

And sorry if I was a little weird about it or defensive or whatever at all.

You’re right and I know you didn’t mean anything by it but it’s just the part about the older ones crammed in kind of upset me a little bit because I do love my animals and try to care for them and I like to think they’re happy but idk. I think maybe I’ve gotten in a bit over my head with all these new animals lately between the chicks and the fish (which I still haven’t even finished setting up/decorating tanks). I just.. I’ve been thinking about a lot today/had a lot of realizations.

Maybe they all deserve better

Well I know that but I want to keep the coloring but get rid of tux
Hatch as many from that hen as you can, and possibly cross her with one of her son's too. Keep the ones with best coloring. Might help if you can add a picture of her so we can take a guess at her genetics and see if we can make suggestions on what to breed her with to get her coloring.

I got three eggs today!
