I was a bit ruthless. I chose the one I thought was the prettiest and purest silver to replace the old silver boy who wasn't giving me fertile eggs. One from my third hatch that I thought was a hen turned out to be a roo, but he's got some really pretty markings, so I decided to keep him, especially since he got along with both the old silver boy and the new silver boy.How do you manage to get down to just 3 boys? I have pretty ones I have trouble parting with. I still need to butcher my boy pen, got 8 in there. I have 12 hens & 5 roos in breeding pens. I need to reduce the boys soon.
I probably only have 6 dozen or so...... and getting a dozen more every day.
My parents just did a huge shop and brought back tons of stuff including a lot of veggies and all sorts of other stuff haha could add the veggies still.
No onion but tomatoes and bell peppers and a bunch of other stuff.
Donāt know if I really feel like cooking more though.![]()

Cut up a little bit of onion, a half of bell pepper and some garlic.

Saute them for a minute then put the can with the juice in the pot.
Warm it up for a few minutes then pour it over your rice.
Whether you drain the beans or not depends on what you're making! I never use canned beans. I always save some of the liquid that I cook dried beans in to give some moisture to my chili.

Iām glad you said tomato because I just adapted the recipe and added one haha and we didnāt have garlic but did the beans and pepper and tomato. Used minced garlic though cause I didnāt feel like cutting up a clove.![]()
