I think I need to get these rabbit cage thingies but then again I kinda wanna build them myself or do an aviary instead so idk. This is all just hypothetical of course. Will be a while. Might not even be this year. You were right. Sort of. It’s not at all because I can’t build them on a year or will put it off. Def not right about that. but rather because I think I’ve actually decided to downsize haha not going to add any more animals and might sell some of the ones I do have aha cause I want to move and/or get a dog first so all other animals are on hold. Also didn’t you once tell me not to get rabbit cages or dog crates or whatever??? But isn’t that what you use??? So now I am throughly confused haha

I don't remember telling you not to get rabbit cages...
I don't just use plain rabbit cages I wrap them in hardware cloth.
I think it would be cheaper to just build a cage with wood and hardware cloth instead of buying a rabbit cage and adding hardware cloth to it.... Maybe that's why I told you not to buy rabbit cages.

Yeah I think I used way too much wood.
I just keep adding more wood and more wood cuz I don't know how to properly put wood together.

Aww no you’re not! It was great for a first build! It’s hard to know. I’d probably do the same haha but it’s super easy to build a frame and stuff with actual framing wood lol

No the dog crates suck.
The doors on them suck.
Trust me I have one right now and I can't stand it.
You do not want to wrap a dog crate in hardware cloth.

Ahh okay. Maybe that’s what it was then!! If I do it, I guess I will get the rabbit cages but I honestly think it’s be less work to just build one. It’s such a pain in the rear zip tying HC to stuff. Would be much easier to just screw it directly on haha

But the quail are on hold. Unless I could somehow have them in an apartment....

I'm good at building, but horrible at finishing!
I've still not finished the Bobwhites new home, and they're starting to "fight" a bit, spring is right around the corner.
Still need some of the HC and doors made....

The porch railing isn't finished....
Inside trim needs boards & paint....
The unused quail pens need cleaned....
These quail need outta the house, asap!!!
I did just move some chicks & guineas into an outside pen, they'll be happier (if they don't freeze)!!!

And then what do I say, "I think I'll incubate a few eggs".... although it's never a "few" is it?
