I tried the whole weighing thing once or twice but... Candling daily is much easier and quicker...for me.I do something similar to you with the list! I number each egg and get their weight in grams. Then, around day 7, I weigh again. Studies have shown that the eggs lose weight as a chick develops so I look for any sort of weight change to indicate whether there may be some development. Then I candle on day 10 to see if there can be any confirmation of suspected development and make notes on what I see.
