No, last year was awful. Less than 50% of the eggs I set were fertile. It's a long road up with the breeding stock I have. I'll get there eventually.

I've set 130 eggs this year. :
I've hatched 51, but that's not counting the ones that are hatching today.

I'm not expecting a great hatch rate from the post office abused batch.

Additionally, I had problems with tanked hatch rates, most likely from a glitchy lockdown incubator (It broke, and I fixed it with a bit of a redneck solution; it didn't work all the way, it seems) and then chick mortality rates on one particular breed (that made up the majority of my hatches) were over 50% in the first week. All in all, I ended up with a lot fewer chicks than I wanted.

Maybe I can have them order some jumbo eggs so I can hatch them... Then they can just take them all.

yes with your hatch rates, you could just charge people a hatching fee and be able to hatch all the eggs you want!! they supply the eggs
