These chicks! I keep seeing one sprawled out dead. DEAD! I open the top and it runs off. Haven't seen them do it this much before.

2 of the 9 Jumbo Whites hatched, I still have pips and movement on the others. Realized my incubator in the basement is still off temperature so that's why these are behind I think.

8 chicks hatched this morning, 9 eggs still in the incubator. One looks yellow in the pictures, but in person looks like it has faint pale gray markings on back of head and the back. Dunno if my eyes are playing tricks or not.

I had one just like that at hatch! It's so faintly grey you can barely see it in pictures. This is at day 2 and day 12: the day 12 one is a collage and it's the one on the upper left.

I just candled my day 9 Celadon eggs. Out of the original 55 I set:

11 were clear
6 are iffy (pretty sure they quit, but I'll check again at lockdown)
38 are cute little bouncing embryos!

6 1\2 days until lockdown!

Day 14 lockdown!

The 6 iffy eggs showed no development, so they were removed.

Of the 38 remaining from that...

31 still look great

1 has the aircell at the wrong side of the egg, but it's still alive

7 look like they might have quit... The air cells are very small. I marked them and left them in, just in case.

Here is hoping for at least 31(32) happy healthy chicks in a few days!
