they weren’t too sure about first time swimming.....as you can see in the pic, “quack” had a lot to say about it!!
i wanted to get them out earlier when it was nearly 80* but by the time we got all our errands done and rescued my new aviary plants from the pheasants....temps had dropped by almost 20*.....
Ducklings really do win the cuteness contest. Every single time.they weren’t too sure about first time swimming.....as you can see in the pic, “quack” had a lot to say about it!!
and the quailies found a hole in the netting so they are “stuck” inside!! I gave up and decided they would have to figure out how to get out same way they got in!!! hopefully there will still be some leaves left tomorrow when we re-design!!!
with the different patterns there, I vote 3 hens and 1 isn’t regular....mine are 4-6 per day so my new layers aren’t regular yet.....will be happy to get them outside with more room because 3 of my older hens are completely bald!!
That means that this one is a hen. That means the the eggs are less likely to be fertile, right? Male buttons usually have one female, not a harem?
