Curled feet may straighten in the first 48 hours. Had good luck waiting.

I have had pretty good luck with waiting if they aren’t too bad. This one was hobbling around with both feet curled in. Boots seem to be helping.

i’m not going to clear the button eggs out until tomorrow night just in case but my totals for easter hatch were 21/28 coturnix
32 set, 4 clear, 3 quit at hatch, 4 early-mid quitters......3 brooder deaths so far of “runts” so 18 fluffies. buttons: 17 set, 12 @ lockdown, 5 hatch (1 assist) will update if anymore hatch in 24 hours. planning to set pheasant eggs on Friday followed by homegrown and next myshire eggs for Mother’s Day hatch......

I pulled 3 clears yesterday. We had two female ducklings hatch. I can't wait to see these quail I'm hatching!!! They'll be awesome I bet!

I pulled another 2 clears from my Buttons, leaves 8 for lockdown tomorrow. I can't wait for their hatch day!

My single duckling that hatched has something wrong with it , almost seems like wry neck or something. I'm at a loss for what to do for the little thing. I'm hoping my next group of duck eggs does better next week.

If it's wry neck, I think you're supposed to give them vitamins for that, but I don't remember what... did you post in the emergencies thread?

Boots seems to be doing well.

Splay leg is a bit better after spending time in a cup and on the grippy incubator floor. May have a bit of a crooked neck too though so

Unfortunately, one that I presume was just fine before managed to get trapped under the single layer of paper towels on the brooder floor. It was chilly and all squashed out when I found it. Perked up some with nutridrench and incubator time but one leg looks splayed out now.

I can't help myself when I see someone from BYC on the live I have to say something.
I've been doing real good and not trying to answer everyone's questions over there.

I really wish some of those people would join on here...especially the ones in my area.
