I wonder if finches are more normal than buttons.
I'm just waiting for one of mine to die of a heart attack.
They freak out for no reason.

Finches have less obsessive traits than buttons, but they're about as spooky. At least, my Gouldians are.

they are actually very similar in nature....my finches still freak out every time i enter their aviary area.....but the buttons IME have calmed down considerably since moving outside. my newbies are in full freak-out mode! I had to clean a butt today and it was a nightmare trying to catch the lil guy!!
