WOW. that's a lot I bought my hives and equipment from western bee supply. 135 bucks for 2 deeps complete with frames, bottom board, hive top + inner cover, all unassembled but its not that hard, and the honey super special from them is great. 2 medium supers with frames and a queen excluder.Getting into bees can be very expensive. I spent $1000 this year on 3 packages of bees and one hive. This does not include anything spent on equipment or containers.
This is why i don't want to ever have to buy bees, I'll just split my hives to get more, and raise my own queens. then i will only ever have to get boxes. @KDOGG331 tools you will need if you want bees are the complete hive which includes hive bodies, frames, top, bottom, then you need a hive tool, a smoker is essential, I have a bee brush too, a veil and then a bee suit unless you have other suitable clothes. Oh if you want honey an extractor is useful, as well as an uncapping knife and other toolsGetting into bees can be very expensive. I spent $1000 this year on 3 packages of bees and one hive. I wait a week until I toss them outside. Above 50°F has been my limit at 2 weeks. If above 70°F, 5 maybe 7 days inside.Mine have been inside. I’m going to wait till after tomorrow. I only have 3 that are 3 weeks. The other 20 were born yesterday. So I should take them off heat at 2 weeks and inside?
