➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

Getting into bees can be very expensive. I spent $1000 this year on 3 packages of bees and one hive. This does not include anything spent on equipment or containers.
WOW. that's a lot I bought my hives and equipment from western bee supply. 135 bucks for 2 deeps complete with frames, bottom board, hive top + inner cover, all unassembled but its not that hard, and the honey super special from them is great. 2 medium supers with frames and a queen excluder.

This is why i don't want to ever have to buy bees, I'll just split my hives to get more, and raise my own queens. then i will only ever have to get boxes. @KDOGG331 tools you will need if you want bees are the complete hive which includes hive bodies, frames, top, bottom, then you need a hive tool, a smoker is essential, I have a bee brush too, a veil and then a bee suit unless you have other suitable clothes. Oh if you want honey an extractor is useful, as well as an uncapping knife and other tools

So I had some interesting chicks hatch from chicken eggs now I only have a polish hen and these did not come from her eggs because she wasn’t laying yet. So I’m thinking I have a pheasant chicken cross I showed pictures to my dad and he said the heads don’t look like chicken heads.

What do y’all think
The pheasant which would be dad if they are crosses was a silver pheasant

Mine have been inside. I’m going to wait till after tomorrow. I only have 3 that are 3 weeks. The other 20 were born yesterday. So I should take them off heat at 2 weeks and inside?
I wait a week until I toss them outside. Above 50°F has been my limit at 2 weeks. If above 70°F, 5 maybe 7 days inside.

Mine get heat for 5 days. When they are running all around the brooder and not sleeping in the heat, they are done with the heat lamp. They will still huddle in a corner, but no extra heat needed.
