➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

I wait a week until I toss them outside. Above 50°F has been my limit at 2 weeks. If above 70°F, 5 maybe 7 days inside.

Mine get heat for 5 days. When they are running all around the brooder and not sleeping in the heat, they are done with the heat lamp. They will still huddle in a corner, but no extra heat needed.
Good to know. I use a brooder plate and I start shutting it off during the day around 5 days. Then I shut it off completely around a week or so. It’s going to be hot here so I’ll be able to just put them out after a few days.

So I had some interesting chicks hatch from chicken eggs now I only have a polish hen and these did not come from her eggs because she wasn’t laying yet. So I’m thinking I have a pheasant chicken cross I showed pictures to my dad and he said the heads don’t look like chicken heads.

What do y’all think
The pheasant which would be dad if they are crosses was a silver pheasant

Yes I can the are bigger now I also have a couple that may be rumpless or tailless or whatever it’s called but they don’t have feathers on their heads these actually raise the feathers on their head also just like the silver pheasant does

WOW. that's a lot I bought my hives and equipment from western bee supply. 135 bucks for 2 deeps complete with frames, bottom board, hive top + inner cover, all unassembled but its not that hard, and the honey super special from them is great. 2 medium supers with frames and a queen excluder.
The hive I bought this year included the hive base, mite proof bottom board assembly, 2 deep supers, queen excluder, 5 medium supers, inner cover, hive top, 20 deep frames + foundation, 40 medium frames + foundation and a few items for general use. I had to buy everything for the new hive because it is an 8 frame set up instead of the 10 frame set ups that I already had. Yes they were all unassembled and unpainted.
