We also just figured out why I’m not getting very many eggs each day......stupid ducks are chasing quail around and eating them as quick as they are laid!!!!

That’s the plan as soon as we get back....the Rouen is still a bit too small and we ran out of time before our trip! I’m seriously considering cycling 2 Pekins through every 7 weeks until we have enough in the freezer! I didn’t realize they grew out that fast! We still have 7-8 bunnies to process and a dozen or so more quail when we get back too

Dh is planning to move the fake pond and put dux in the turkey/bunny barn and once I get my indoor space built....meat quail will be in there

I had a duck with a thing for quail eggs as well.

I had a duck once who would steal kibble out of the dog kennel. He could fit his head through the fence wire and grab it out of the bowl. To be fair the dog would run in the duck pen and eat the cracked corn though too.
