I cooked some with a can of whole berry cranberry sauce. It was great.Had a second quail for lunch today. Delicious. I will have to try to repeat this recipe. Brined quail and pot roasted. These are more tender and juicy than the last ones.

Its a conspiracy. They want you to use ChromeI'll be damned. Look.
When I use Chrome I can hold down long to get the menu.
Not when I use the Google though. I always use the Google. The video above is my regular Google way.

I just took the last three of my Hallowe'en hatch and put two of them into my mixed pen and the other into the freezer. I sold the rest.View attachment 2439398View attachment 2439399
the Halloween assortment at 5 weeks! Iām going to start weaning them off the heat now that the deep freeze is hopefully over and put them out into genpop in another couple weeks. I need remove a few of jumbos and extra males first as I have been procrastinating.
I have 17 from my snowie hatch outside in a pen, so far I have 7 banded as definite males, every day I intend to go fish them out and put them in the small breeder pen, someone buys the males at $3 each 2 per week, so I figure they eat less than $3 of food per week so keeping them until he eventually buys them all scores me a few extra bucks. But itās been so cold and rainy I havenāt wanted to drag the small pen out from under the deck and set it up haha.View attachment 2439398View attachment 2439399

Itās a sad day, as I type, Popeye is in a box waiting for my husband to finish work so we can take care of him. Snowflake has gotten protective of his ladies, and when Popeye bumbles into them, Snowflake warns him off, but Popeye doesnāt take the warning and kicks up his feet and attacks. Popeye has a spot of blood on his cheek, but I canāt find any injuries on either, I suspect he broke a nail during an attack and later scratched his face, but I donāt want to worry about such things with the inside pets, he has to go to freezer camp.
Snowflake is all grown up now and we are planning to give him a more masculine name. Since he is white, and has a silver lady and a golden lady, I was thinking about Yukon Cornelius.
Baldi seems over all improved, Iāve been giving her vitamin e morning and night, and I bought the pricey feed for her, she seems up more than before, but still stumbles a lot. Itās hard to tell, but maybe the toes arenāt strong enough for balance, they seem weak. But when I give her vitamin e, she stands and thrashes pretty strongly, and has definitely gotten stronger and more resistant to it. I guess time will tell, she isnāt getting worse and seems happy anyway.
Heās also made of what looks more like white meat than the others, Iāve heard a&m are like that, but had not seen it. If heās more delicious, Iām going to be hatching out more double silvers to eat hahahah.Sorry to hear about Popeye but at least you caught it before multiple injuries.
