Considering the early quitter within, it is a hatch rate of 79% :jumpy

Considering all quitters in, fertilisation rate was 78%

All colors expected are appearing ...

I am quite satisfied with my breeding groups :old😊

Kiki add this tonight.
Nutty's too.

Almost made a 'whoops' with my breeding pens tonight.

I got the first egg from my pen of young birds, so I decided it was time to split into breeding groups. I had one pharoah hen that I couldn't place. I had marked all my pharoah Le Creme projects with a white zip tie. She did not have one, but I couldn't think of what else she could possibly be. So I put her in with my Le Creme project juvenile cock and his other girls.

About a half hour later, as I was still out there messing around, I realized that she was a 'definitely-not-Egyptian' pharoah hen that I kept from the 'Egyptian' eggs I got from Myshire. Whoops. She definitely does not have the genetics for that project. I've swapped her into my pen with a Falb Fee cock for now. With him, she'll produce heterozygous Falb Fee chicks.

Anyone in here pickle their own quail eggs? I've never had pickled eggs before, but I like eggs and I like pickles, lol, so I'm thinking of trying it. What does a pickled egg taste like?
