I'm a hatchaholic In the past I have hatched chickens, large fowl ducks, bantam ducks, geese, coturnix quail, button quail, peafowl, guinea fowl, turkeys, pheasants, and of course emu.

I've only done pheasants once and peafowl and button quail a few times, and the rest I hatch fairly regularly.

Gotta do an ostrich egg. I have a local friend who has a pair. He might let me talk him into hatching some of the eggs. Though I'd probably give the chicks back; ostriches are a little too big for me.

I am freaking out right now. I hatched out 10 Button quail three weeks ago and colors are coming in. I already identified 3 males and 3 females. I have two really huge chicks so my guess is female and two rather small ones. If I am correct, I might get 5 females and 5 males. It would be so awesome and strange at the same time. Fingers crossed I am right about their gender.

At least he only has to get dressed. Someone that I live with has to do her hair after getting dressed while I'm waiting, watching the clock and allegedly "not being helpful." If we left when I was ready, we'd be early. If we leave when she is good and ready, we'll be there 2 days late.

It'll only take a couple of minutes. Yea - I told you 2 days ago that we needed to leave at this time. Why wait until the last minute?

Since we are in the quail forum, QB#20 was started last night. 50 ish eggs of uncertain origin. Due to hatch on 1 May.

There will be yellers. He runs a Muddy style aviary with wild and whites. He's got way too many roosters, so fertility should be stellar. Still need to start on that other coop.

If I had a dollar for every time I said I need to start on that coop/pen haha, currently on my deck I have a work in progress lol.
